Who, in the sunlit world, I have been overexposed to his wards of taboo
and underdeveloped to his ways of wisdom
Who, in the moon-drenched realms, I have tasted the addictive pleasure and power
and delved into ecstatic dreams
For he lives in every part of this world and every part of me,
counterpoint to the God within, reflection to the light beyond
For the greatest fears of the dark unknown host the flame of new creation,
the fires of all art and science
For the all the despised, shamed, criticized, shadowed outcasts
are his beloved children.
Return to his underworld for each dark season, take treasures of darkness,
drink from rivers of delight
But do not stay past spring or dawn, for the chains grow tighter,
the horns root deeper
And you may be lost forever, surrendered to the wonders of eternal lust,
the event horizon’s singularity.
